There is great news regarding the area of Aboriginal Eye Health within the Mid West.
The Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (GRAMS) in partnership with The Fred Hollows Foundation and the University of Western Australia (UWA), are opening a new Eye Health Clinic at GRAMS today, Thursday 18 May 2023.
UWA Head of Optometry Professor Garry Fitzpatrick said the state-of-the-art clinic will deliver culturally safe eye care services for people of all ages who may be experiencing eye health issues.
It marks a significant advancement in our eye health services, promising remarkable benefits for GRAMS Aboriginal clients.
GRAMS acknowledge the Fred Hollows Foundation and UWA for their support in making this possible. We are extremely excited to deliver this level of eye health services to our clients all under the one roof.
GRAMS also acknowledge Mr Shaun Tatipata (Deadly Enterprises) and Mr Wilfred Tang (UWA Optometry) for their time and patience in progressing this project forward.
