The Birds and BBVs two-day STI and BBV training was delivered at GRAMS on 2-3 May. 11 people participated in the training from GRAMS, WA Country Health Services and other outreach services, Desert Blue and ICARE.
The training was delivered in partnership with Hepatitis WA and WAAC and Dr Yolanda Knight, Midwest Public Health Medical Officer presented a session on the Syphilis outbreak in the Midwest. The training was very well received by attendees who are motivated and passionate about increasing STI and BBVs testing amongst their client groups in a culturally safe way without stigma and discrimination, the training also provided a great opportunity for networking and future collaboration.
