Last Tuesday 30th September, David Batty (Suicide Prevention CLO) from GRAMS facilitated a Red Dust Healing workshop with seven employees from AVIVO Geraldton. AVIVO provides care services for people who need support due to disability, ageing or mental ill-health.
The Red Dust Healing Workshop was held at a residence in South Greenough, David shared with the women initiatives and strategies designed to equip people with the right tools to address negative behaviour and emotions they may be experiencing. The group also collaborated on ideas for enhancing mental health awareness and prevention initiatives at AVIVO.
David regularly holds Red Dust Healing workshops as part of GRAMS Suicide Prevention Strategy. The aim of the GRAMS Red Dust Healing program is to help improve mental health awareness among Aboriginal men in the Gascoyne region.
